Spring Birding


Whether you are an experienced birder or a beginner, this single-day walk and talk will sharpen your skills and provide fascinating insight into the world of birds. Learn how to observe and identify migrant and local birds-such as Peregrine Falcons, Red-tailed Hawks, Catbirds, Yellow Warblers, and Baltimore Orioles-on the beautiful grounds of NYBG. Become comfortable with analyzing feather patterns, field marks, vocalizations, as well as beak and body types in order to aid in identification. Please bring your binoculars and wear comfortable, weather-appropriate shoes and clothing. Class will take place outdoors.
