After over 30 years as a founding partner of BKSK Architects, Stephen Byrns became the full-time president of the Untermyer Gardens Conservancy, which he founded in 2011. Stephen's most emblematic projects weave together the uniqueness of residents, local histories, and physical settings to celebrate context. These include a townhouse in Carnegie Hill, winner of a Neighborhood Enrichment Award; a restored 150-year-old home in Riverdale, winner of a Palladio Award; and the conversion of a historic Hudson Valley mansion into the headquarters of three non-profits.
