Create a linear, Ikebana-inspired design using locally sourced flowers, foliage, and herbs-such as lace-cap hydrangea, cosmos, nandina, miscanthus grass, thyme, and purple basil. Valerie Braverman of Brave Floral will share insights and guidance on how best to identify and ethically source plant material as you compose your arrangement using foam-free mechanics and the proper vessel. $135 materials fee.

Her Maplewood, New Jersey shop, Brave Floral, has been featured in Domino Magazine and NJ Monthly.
