Learn the principles and techniques of plant propagation by seed and cuttings. Explore the basics of sexual and asexual propagation, with attention to fruit development, seedling production, root initiation, stem and leaf cuttings, and layering. Prerequisite: Introduction to Plant Science (or approval of the Program Coordinator)

Please note, this online course requires the purchase of materials. NYBG is working with Copia Home and Garden to create kits for this class. The kits cost approximately $100. Since the materials change based on the season, we will let registered students know when these are available for purchase. Students must pick their kits up from Copia in South Salem, NY. If students prefer to source their own materials, a list will be provided upon request.
