Certificate Detail: CCAP300 - Chiropractic Acupuncture Certificate Program 300 hour (OH only)
This Diplomate Program is for OH Chiropractors looking to expand their practice by learning acupuncture as an adjunct therapy. You will complete a total of 300 hours and then be eligible to take the DABCA exam. 100 Level (Basic):
This is a course about distribution and functions of channels and collaterals, categories of special points, body landmarks, point locating methods, and basic needling methods. This course also includes practice of physical point location. This is a 100 hour course offered in 4 modules.
200 Level (Advanced):
The 200 (Advanced) level course used in the various styles of acupuncture are covered, with reference to their clinical application and also covers Zang-Fu Pathology, musculoskeletal disorders. Students learn needle insertion and manipulation, including how to sedate/tonify and needling techniques. Pulse and Tongue Diagnosis will be taught and practiced. This course teaches the essentials of diagnosis and treatment of selected diseases by acupuncture. There are 4 modules to level 200.
300 Level (Diplomate):
The 300 (Diplomate) level course includes about 15 case studies and advanced needling methods. This course also includes practice of acupuncture treatment. Arthritis, Asthma, Pain, Constipation, Cough, Depression, Diarrhea, Edema, Women's disease, Headaches, Insominia, Stomach Pain, Sciatica, Shoulders and Knee pain, Disc Herniation. There are 4 modules to level 300.
Locations vary depending on the session. You will meet one weekend a month and it will be either Columbus, OH, Altanta, GA or via a ZOOM Meeting webinar.
