Can one person impact the Earth's natural resources?  Yes, each person has a role to play in protecting the Earth's natural resources.  Join us via Adobe Connect and experience our virtual lesson for second graders where we use SOL-based hands-on activities that capture your students' imagination. 

Students will investigate and explore what happens to the trash they produce each day.  Is there a way to reduce the trash produced?  What happens to trash once it is thrown out?  Do all products break down the same way?  We will face the ultimate challenge of creating a zero waste lunch box.

You must be a second grade teacher to register for this session.  Please, only 1 class per school per session!

It's a party and you're invited! Join us, along with other classes from around the region, for a mathematical celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday. Put on your problem-solving hat as we explore the world of Bartholomew Cubbins and his 500 hats.  Students will enjoy learning about function tables, operations, and even a combination problem. 

This hour-long lesson integrates literature, math, and 21st-century technology skills.

You must be a third-grade teacher to enroll in this lesson.  Limit: 2 classes per school per session.

"Spiders! And Pumpkins! And Bats! Oh my!" Join us via Adobe Connect and experience our virtual lesson for third graders where we use SOL-based hands-on activities that capture your students' imagination. We'll take you step-by-step through a one hour virtual lesson that focuses on scientific investigation, unique physical adaptations of bats and spiders, along with spider webs and food webs, and don't forget the pumpkins! We will explore plant life cycles and seed dispersal too. A class that creeps and crawls and, in the end, grows on you!Please, only 2 classes per school per session!
