This 2-hour course will discuss Electrical Wiring and what entails a proper electrical inspection. Electrical requirements such as Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupters, Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupters, Branch circuits, Outlets, Lighting, Switches and Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarms will be discussed. The Home Inspector will be taught proper inspection techniques and report writing methods as well as reinforcing personal safety and fire safety methodologies. Electrical inspections are one of the most important safety considerations undertaken during a Home Inspection. The knowledge and insight gained in this class will enable Home Inspectors to perform better inspections while reducing potential liabilities.
