Course Detail: HI6150 - Inspecting Roofs and Attics (3 CE Hours)
At the conclusion of this course, attendees will be able to1- Identify the different styles of roofs that may be found on New York State residences.2- Typical roof styles and materials used along with determining the most appropriate method to inspect the roof with an emphasis on observing best safety practices.3- Identifying and reporting problems associated with roofs and roofing materials.4- Inspect flashings, skylights, and chimneys, vent stacks and other penetrations and competently comment on their adequacy.5 -Identify and collect appropriate information from the interior roof (Attic space) to help identify structural, insulation, different types of ventilation, and other issues that have an impact during a roof/attic inspection.6- Prepare accurate and complete written reports on this aspect of their findings. 3 CEUs
