The purpose of this course is to provide the registered nurse with knowledge and skill necessary to perform a head-to-toe examination. Objectives will include how the nurse can obtain the necessary assessment information from the client in addition to a detailed review of all the body systems. Instruction includes lecture/demonstration and supervised practice. Bring stethoscope. The target audience is the registered nurse. 21 contact hours

Mary Fay

Biography: Mary Fay's background is largely Cardiac Critical Care, but she has substantial experience in the Medical-Surgical area as well. Education: She graduated from Farmingdale with an AAS in Nursing, LIU with a BSN, Stoney Brook with a MSN/ANP, and from Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Cleveland, Ohio with DNP in clinical practice. She worked for 25 years at Catholic Health Services before moving to Northwell to put her advanced degrees into practice.
