Course Detail: AD1016 - Diversity of Intervention and Treatment Approaches

This course will cover diagnosis of substance use disorder using the DSM 5, ATOD viewed on a continuum, starting with experimentation and ending with the relapse prevention and recovery.It will also look into the different types of chemical dependency treatment and the criteria for referral, matching levels to the severity of the substance use disorders, different philosophies and beliefs regarding the etiology of addiction and more. 14 Hrs
