Building Science 101 Course (6 CEUs)This course is designed to introduce the home inspector to Building Science. By taking this course the student will learn several laws of physics that relate to how buildings perform in everyday weather climates. The topics discuss include moisture, air and thermal resistance as they relate to residential houses. Additional discussion will include heating systems, cooling systems and domestic hot water systems and how to evaluate their efficiencies and safe operation of the systems. The student will walk away with a better understanding of how the laws of physics affect the major building components and how they might be addressed in a home inspection report. This course is approved by New York State, Department of State, Division of Licensing Services for Home Inspector Continuing Education credit.Code: L2831-06
