Instructor: Marjorie Schiering

No image available Biography: Dr. Marjorie Schiering has a varied and extensive amount of teaching experience at the elementary and middle school levels, as well as at the doctorate and master's degree levels. Her areas of interest and expertise are in instructional leadership, and developing social and academic cognition/meta-cognition skills, through the designing and implementation of interactive instructional resources. She has conducted numerous presentations, on differentiated instruction using her Phases of Thinking: Evolving From Cognition to Meta-Cognition, as well as teaching techniques involving interactive instruction in the US and Europe. She is the designer, co-author and editor of ELSIN Newsletter (see: www.elsinnet.org.uk).
