Trauma-Informed Receptive Music Therapy Techniques Saturday, February 24, 2024; 12:30-2:30 p.m. Presenter: Stephanie Sofield (she/her), MM, MT-BC(2 CMTEs/LCATs CE credits)The conference will offer three options to attend: in-person (Larini Room, 2nd floor of the Public Square, main campus) virtual through Zoom and via a recording. Description: In this workshop, attendees will learn how to integrate trauma-informed care with receptive music therapy techniques. Specifically, attendees will learn how to center and maintain safety while selecting and creating music, discussing lyrical content, and engaging in verbal skills. Attendees will be provided with several music listening examples throughout. Specific strategies will be offered so that attendees can utilize new skills within practice.
