Much of the work we do in music therapy requires flexibility and the ability to pivot to adapt to new, often unanticipated circumstances. This presentation will explore musical as well as clinical ways we can envision and enact pivoting. Musical pivoting such as harmonic, tempo shifting and smooth voice leading will be shared to help the participant realize dramatic and subtle shifts in musicing.
