Course Detail: LL1999 - Information Literacy for Graduate Students
Does the word "research" make you cringe? Are you thinking to yourself: there has to be a faster and more efficient way to write papers?Did you know Google had an advanced search feature? Did you know you could search all of our databases at once?Can you tell a peer reviewed article at a glance? Are databases really faster and better than the internet?Do you know how to consistently cite websites that your professor won't reject?The library's seminar, specifically designed for graduate students, will teach you how to find credible information quickly and easily. From defining a topic to communicating your findings, we will show you how to effectively research anything! This 2-hour seminar will be given prior to the start of each fall semester and will be offered live, online in "real-time' through Zoom! Students who register but cannot attend will receive a recording of the session. You will be contacted prior to the seminar with the Zoom link.
