Course Detail: MT1650 - Queering Music Therapy: Experiences of Supporting LGBTQIA2+ Communities through Shared Identities

Maevon Gumble will speaking about their Gender Affirming Voicework method. Dr. Natasha Thomas and Kei Slaughter will speaking about their arts-based research study surrounding perceptions of community, identity, and voice with Black, genderqueer folx. Freddy Perkins will be speaking about the work he does in his private practice focused on supporting queer folx, especially queer folx of color. Dr. Kate Myers-Coffman (Molloy Music Therapy Faculty) will be speaking about experiences supporting gender identity and sexual orientation topics that arise in bereavement support work with adolescents
