Creative Recycling: Magazine Bowl Workshop (Grades 6-8)

Turn old magazines into one-of-a-kind works of art in this fun and eco-friendly workshop! Students will explore creativity and sustainability as they design and construct decorative bowls using recycled magazine pages. Through hands-on instruction, participants will learn paper-rolling, shaping, and assembly techniques while discovering how everyday materials can be transformed into something beautiful and useful. Students will create a unique bowl that reflects their personal style while developing patience, craftsmanship, and problem-solving skills. By the end of the class, each student will take home a functional piece of recycled art and a greater appreciation for creative reuse and environmental stewardship.
