No image available Biography: Dr. Parks earned his medical degree from Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Medicine in 2015. He completed an internship in combined Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, and then he transferred to SIU's Med-Psych Program for the next 3 years of training before completing his Psychiatry Residency in 2020. After graduating residency, Dr. Parks joined the Team at Gateway Foundation in providing holistic healing and evidence-based treatment to people struggling with problematic substance use, addiction, and mental health conditions. He believes that it is a doctor's responsibility to show people compassion and provide help and hope during the darkest moments of their lives.
