Just being great at your job is no longer enough. Technical competence is only half the picture in the current business landscape. Employers want professionals who possess high Emotional Intelligence, or EQ, which is an array of social competencies that determine how we relate to ourselves and others and how we deal with the demands and pressures of our work and family lives.

Every leader succeeds because of the efforts and contributions of their teams, so coaching those teams for high performance is a critical management skill. High-performance coaching begins by identifying people's "starting points"- their career and life ambitions. Then, it explores the directions in which people need to move to achieve those visions, and the action steps they need to take to do so. In this program, we explore a 6-step coaching process designed to promote growth, development, and independent thinking. We also examine the 4 C's of coaching conversations. Finally, we learn a tool to assess the trust levels in working relationships.

Finally, we investigate the role of five key dysfunctions in impeding cultural growth.

Don't let it be you! Don't be that person who puts an audience to sleep with a poorly organized business presentation, a stammering, "uh, um, you know," speaking style, and slides that feature a zillion words but no clear ideas. This program, facilitated by Dr. Lee Stuart, long-time speaker and executive speaking coach, helps you avoid several all-too-common presentation problems. We explore the importance of non-verbal communication and learn to design our intended outcomes into our presentations. We learn to conduct audience analysis and how to craft compelling presentation openings and closings. Every participant in the program will deliver a live presentation and receive immediate feedback.
