Situating the revolution in historical context, classes will explore the politics and circumstances of the Russian state, the revolutionary ideas of Lenin, and finally, how the first communist state emerged amidst a world in conflict. Instructor Bio: Aaron Margolis received his doctorate in history from the University of Texas at El Paso where he concentrated on Latin American and borderlands history.
