Course detail: RAIDER Training - 5 Day Instructor

Course Description: 
This is a FREE five day training limited to two officers per agency.

The RAIDER Training program exposes first-on-scene responders to the tactical skills necessary to operate successfully in the unique tensions of an active shooter setting - a hostile environment, populated by large numbers of civilians, with an Active Killer attempting to achieve the highest body count possible in the shortest amount of time. This is not a normal event, nor is the response.

Core Competency: 
  • Participants will be able to decide upon prescribed courses of action or techniques that will provide a greater level of safety in a variety of environments, events and situations. 
Course Objectives: 

Participants will develop their skills in: 
  • Basics of SOLO engagement 
  • Physical movements and drills 
  • Use of angles and infrastructure 
  • Use of movement and aggressive actions
  • Limited combatives/crowd movement 
  • Force on force drills 
  • Tactics and shooting drills 
  • Live fire link up exercise, first aid drills and recovery drills 
  • Live fire drills and exercises 
  • Instructing basic drills 
  • Instructional Methods: 
  • Lecture 
  • Practicals: This training is physically and mentally demanding 
Who Should Attend: 
  • Law Enforcement Only 
Course Requirements: 
  • You will be evaluated on understanding, demonstration and instructional abilities throughout the week. 
  • You will be monitored, mentored and tested by trainers throughout the week. 
  • You will design, brief, instruct and debrief your own live fire and force on force scenario.
