Course detail: Importance of Physical-Functional Fitness and Police Performance

Course Description:
Law enforcement officers take an oath to serve and protect the public. One integral part of a police officer's overall health and wellness is the physical fitness of the officer. Officers may have a hard time finding and implementing physical fitness routines into their daily lives. This training will give a basic introduction to functional fitness movements and the role physical fitness plays into police job performance. This training will also examine the public's perception of police and how physical fitness can benefit public interactions, possibly deter negative situations and improve the overall health of the officer. This training will examine different fitness standards for different agencies nationally, to also include state police and military standards. The end portion of the training will include a group workout.

  • Participants will support their wellness and resilience with skills learned in the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional areas required of law enforcement officers.

Who Should Attend: 
  • Law Enforcement Officers (Other first responders can too, but the course will be geared towards LEOs).
