Course detail: The Art of Persuasion

Description
This course will introduce students to the foundational principles of business relationships and professional selling. The course is appropriate for any technical professional who would like to be more effective in "getting their message across" to external or internal customers.

Learning Objectives
  • Designing presentations for specific outcomes
  • Finding the "arc of a story" in technical information
  • The critical importance of non-verbal communication
  • Why and how people buy
  • The cognitive science of persuasion
  • Speaking "mechanics"
  • The distinction between presenting and negotiating
  • Conducting and evaluating dialogues/presentations with groups of customers/internal audiences/organizational leadership
              Who Should Attend?
              • Employees who in the sales field
              • Middle managers, team leads, supervisors, and directors who are responsible for identifying needed changes and communicating such plans.
              • Project managers
