Course detail: Solo Officer Response

Course Description: 
The RAIDER Training program exposes first-on-scene responders to the tactical skills necessary to operate successfully in the unique tensions of an active shooter setting - a hostile environment, populated by large numbers of civilians, with an Active Killer attempting to achieve the highest body count possible in the shortest amount of time. This is not a normal event, nor is the response. 

The Basic two- day class will consist of the following: 
  • Basics of SOLO Engagement 
  • Physical Movements & Drills 
  • Use of Angles & Infrastructure 
  • Use of Movement & Aggressive Actions 
  • Limited Combatives/Crowd Movement 
  • Force on Force Drills 
Core Competency: 
  • Participants will be able to decide upon prescribed courses of action or techniques that will provide a greater level of safety in a variety of environments, events and situations. 
Course Objectives: 
  • Participants will develop a winning mindset in active killer confrontation. 
  • Participants will increase tactical aggressiveness while decreasing recklessness. 
  • Participants will increase success during a solo officer response to an active shooter situation.
