Chef Fred Ferrara, M.Ed., CEC, CCE is a dedicated culinary professional with decades of experience, including 25 years as a full-time Culinary Arts Professor at Joliet Junior College. Since his retirement in 2019, he has continued to share his passion for cooking by developing and teaching Lifelong Learning culinary classes.

In addition to these programs, Chef Fred creates and offers specialized culinary classes for high school students with learning disabilities through the Vocational Skills program at JJC.

When he's not teaching or spending time with his wife, Chef Fred serves as an active board member for United Cerebral Palsy-Center for Disability Services. He has also proudly served as the Culinary Chair for the Great Chefs Tasting Party and Auction since its inception in 1995.
