Course Detail: MGT.3830 - Introduction to Soldering

This course is designed to allow more people to be tech knowledgeable, self-sufficient, and excited about electronics as a whole. Main talking points will revolve around simple SMD (surface mount device) and through hole components, safety, rework gun, electricity, profiling solder tips, understanding melting points of metals, diagnostic tools, overall operation and cleanliness, and finally working to make your own device. Soldering is a dangerous endeavor if you are not careful. Long sleeved clothing is required. For ages 15 and up.
