Nursing Exploration Day offers students an exciting, hands-on introduction to the world of nursing and patient care. Participants will engage in interactive demonstrations such as taking vital signs, practicing basic assessment skills, learning about infection control, and exploring medical equipment used in real healthcare settings. Throughout the day, students will meet JJC nursing faculty, current nursing students, and healthcare professionals who will share their experiences and career pathways. The event also includes tours of simulation labs and opportunities to discuss nursing education, college preparation and the wide range of careers available in the nursing field. By the end of the day, participants will gain valuable insight into what it means to be a nurse and the impact nurses have on patients and communities every day. Lunch and a T-shirt will be provided. For ages 15 and up.
