CHANGE! READ MINNESOTA is going ONLINE! In the true Minnesota tradition of social distancing, where 6 feet apart seems just a little too close, we are taking this book club HOME!
Minnesota has produced an abundance of authors in a variety of genres. We'll choose a Minnesota-authored book each month to read at leisure, then come together in an online ZOOM meeting for an evening of guided discussion and shared opinions. At the cabin? On the deck? Stuck inside? Join the group from anywhere you have computer access to ZOOM. Beverages and snacks optional, but recommended!
Books will be available to check out from local libraries or can be purchased in hardcover, paperback or e-reader from your favorite bookstore or Amazon. A ZOOM link and instructions will be emailed to you a few days prior to the meeting.
Summer titles are:
June - Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger - A young man, a small town, and murder in the summer of 1961.
July - Haunted Ground by Erin Hart - First in a series of Nora Gavin mysteries set in Ireland, this multilayered plot involves contemporary and historical crimes, gothic suspense, archeology and forensic science.
August - Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik - Five friends live through three decades of marriages, child-raising, neighborhood parties, bad husbands and good brownies in Freesia Court, Minnesota.
