Course Detail: DAYC - Horseback Riding Day Camp | grades K-12

Learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! You'll get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40-50 minutes (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on your own. You might also make horse treats, create a craft project, or play games. And don't forget the time to feed and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! You'll be grouped with other campers based on similar riding experience. Proper attire includes close-toed shoes (no flip-flops!), long pants, and layers depending on weather. Bring sunscreen, a hat, bug spray, water bottle, a nut-free bag lunch, and snacks. You can also bring treats for the horses if you want. ASTM/SEI certified helmets provided. Camps are held rain or shine.
