Course Detail: Learning by the Glass: Tasting Series

Experience the world of fermented beverages through an immersive tasting series led by knowledgeable industry professionals. Each session offers participants the opportunity to sample a curated selection of artisan beverages-such as coffee, wine, beer, or mead-while learning directly from experts with hands-on experience in production and sourcing. 

Guided by guest presenters, participants will explore flavor profiles, production methods, and regional influences that shape each beverage. Sessions will introduce proper tasting techniques, basic pairing principles, and the stories behind the beverages and the traditions they come from.

This engaging and educational series is designed for enthusiasts of all levels. No prior knowledge is required. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.

This session features Tuscan wines poured by Italian sommeliers visiting from Poggio ai Laghi, located in Monteriggioni, Italy. Participants will explore a curated selection of wines from the region, learning about key Tuscan varietals, the role of terroir and tradition in Italian wine, and gain insight into winemaking in central Italy.
