Course Detail: ECRD-1011 - Certified EKG Technician

EKG Heart Monitor;

Study the heart's anatomy, function and how it produces electricity. Learn how one records this electricity with the EKG and telemetry monitor. This course addresses the electrical-cardio changes of commonly seen diseases and heart rhythm disturbances.

Successful completion prepares students for the NHA certification exam and introduces them to the skills necessary for employment in the field.

Students must meet healthcare program requirements prior to enrolling in the course. Clinicals will be scheduled by the instructor. Included in the course are books, study guide, practice test and one attempt at licensure exam to be scheduled by instructor. The licensure exam is non-refundable/non-transferable.
