Anita Young
Anita Young is an experienced educator with more than 30 years of teaching experience in physical education, psychology, and mathematics. She earned her MA from Woodfield University, BA from Cal State Bakersfield, and teaching credential from Fresno State. Originally from Vlaardingen, Holland, Anita emigrated to the United States with her family at age nine. Her early experiences learning English while participating in sports shaped her passion for helping students build confidence and discover their potential. She has taught at the junior and senior high levels throughout Madera, Fresno, and Clovis and has mentored numerous student teachers. Anita believes passionate educators invest equally in their students and their subjects. She treasures opportunities to inspire students through faith, leadership, and service. Through her work with Fresno Pacific, she enjoys connecting with educators and learning from their experiences. Anita lives in Los Osos, California, and is part of Atascadero Bible Church.

Adapted Physical Education: Inclusive Games and Sports
This course assists teachers in modifying sports, games, and physical activities to make them appropriate for a person with a disability. There is a curriculum guide which evolved to assist teachers to effectively include students with disabilities in the least restrictive physical education program. Teachers will be directed to a site that links to current websites and a PDF file of a curriculum guide for adapted PE to complete the coursework.
