Roland Shearer
Roland Shearer is an experienced educator specializing in health and physical education, with a career spanning more than four decades. He earned a master's degree from the University of San Francisco and a bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University. Originally from Jackson, Minnesota, Roland now lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he is a member of Calvary Castle Rock in Castle Rock. Since 1977, he has taught junior and senior high school, primarily in physical education, while also bringing experience in science and mathematics. Roland is passionate about lifelong learning and believes continuing education is essential in every profession. He values the opportunity to work alongside and support fellow educators. Beyond the classroom, his professional accomplishments include founding and editing California Track & Field, founding Student Online Academic Research (SOAR), and serving as meet director for the Footlocker Cross Country Western Regional. His diverse experience reflects a commitment to education, athletics, and student achievement.
