Katie Posey
Dr. Catherine Posey specializes in Children's and Young Adult Literature, Holocaust education, and antisemitism awareness. She holds a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction from The Pennsylvania State University, an MA in Holocaust & Genocide Studies from Gratz College, an MA in Children's Literature from Roehampton University, and a BA in English and French from CSU Chico, and has taken graduate-level courses in Antisemitism Studies. Posey is the founder of OurStory Connections, a nonprofit dedicated to Holocaust education, and a Postgraduate Fellow with the London Centre for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism. She is passionate about helping educators use stories to nurture curiosity and build connection, and believes literature paired with primary documents creates transformative ways to explore history. With twenty years of college teaching, along with experience as a middle school teacher and elementary school librarian, Posey encourages teachers to use literature to understand diverse perspectives and travel the world through books.
