Jon Morse
Jon Morse brings more than 50 years of experience serving youth, educators, and community leaders across probation, mental health, law enforcement, K-12 education, postsecondary education, business, and community organizations. His expertise includes human behavior, communication, and rehabilitation. He holds an MA in School Counseling and a BA in Psychology and is a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Jon is the Founder and Executive Director Emeritus of Big Picture Educational Academy, which has grown into a K-12 school district with adult education and English-language programs. He currently serves as adjunct faculty in Fresno Pacific University's continuing education department, supporting educators and counselors in a variety of professional settings. His career has also included roles as a probation officer, mental health worker, youth minister, high school teacher and girls basketball coach, business owner, and university instructor. A Madera, California, native, Jon is passionate about family, community service, exercise, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Managing Students Without Coercion
This cognitive approach to managing human behavior can be taught to students and parents for life-long social and emotional learning, self-esteem development, and healthy lifestyle choices. Learning and using Choice Theory, students & teaching staff learn how to be fully responsible for making more effective decisions and choices in their academic and personal lives.

Understanding Student Communication
This class will introduce some skill sets that can be acquired and used in becoming an effective communicator with students, parents, and colleagues, increasing a teacher's ability to make significant connections with everyone. Many of the tools discussed in this class are not usually taught in a typical teacher training program, but once recognized and practiced can make a huge difference for anyone's effectiveness in their professional career and private life.

Effective Management Principles
One of the most important, but usually neglected aspects is training office staff, teachers, counselors, and administrators how to develop a community environment that focuses on Teamwork among all staff and students as well. This course will give all of the aforementioned individuals hands-on experience of training that can be applied to any work environment.
