Cynthia Kaitfors-Smith is passionate about empowering students, educators, and families through positive, relationship-centered approaches to learning and discipline. Her expertise includes restorative strategies, positive discipline in the classroom, and parenting through the Positive Discipline Way. She holds an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy, a BA in Psychology, and a PPS School Counseling credential. Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, in the beautiful Black Hills, she now lives in Clovis, California. Cynthia's professional experience includes serving as a K-12 school counselor, Fresno Pacific University adjunct instructor, and Director of FPU's Merced Campus, as well as working with Fresno City College and Clovis Community College. A lifelong teacher at heart, she began teaching dance before pursuing psychology and counseling. Today, she continues to encourage teachers and administrators to help students thrive. Cynthia is also a blogger, public speaker, church leader, and performing arts enthusiast who enjoys singing and dancing with the senior group New Wrinkles.
