Korrie Gallardo
Korrie Gallardo is a dedicated educator and high school counselor with expertise in Language Arts and a passion for supporting students, families, and educators. She earned an MA in PPS School Counseling from Fresno Pacific University, a BA in Liberal Arts and an Administrative Credential from Fresno State, as well as a Multiple Subject Credential with a Supplementary in English. Her career has included teaching at the middle and high school levels, serving as an elementary instructional coach, and working as a middle school Guidance and Learning Advisor. These experiences have allowed her to combine professional learning, instructional support, and direct student services. In her current counseling role, she coordinates Student Study Team and 504 meetings and helps students navigate academic challenges. Her passion for developing this course grew from her counseling experience and from supporting a student with executive function challenges, inspiring her to provide practical strategies that empower students, families, and teachers.

Enhancing Executive Function
Teachers and administrators will learn the types of executive skills that are essential for student learning, how to recognize strengths and weaknesses with students and how to practically improve students' executive skills in order to better access curriculum. This course will help administrators, counselors, and teachers in the Student Study Team (SST) process by providing specific strategies for intervention if executive skills are the reason a student is struggling as well as provide supports to parents to help their children develop skills to improve their learning.
