Nathan Belcher
Dr. Nathan Belcher is an accomplished educator with expertise in science, mathematics, and humanities. He holds an EdD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Carolina, an MAEd in Curriculum and Instruction and a BS in Physics from the College of William and Mary. With 12 years of high school teaching experience at Grafton High School, Wando High School, and Singapore American School, he is passionate about creating engaging, research-informed learning experiences. Dr. Belcher has extensively studied science education and the learning sciences, applying research-based principles to help students learn more deeply, quickly, and joyfully. His enthusiasm for understanding how people learn extends beyond the classroom into his personal and professional life, where he seeks to help others experience the satisfaction of meaningful learning. He also has six seasons of soccer coaching experience and played soccer at the College of William & Mary. He is a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church in Nemours, West Virginia.

Principles of Learning
How do humans learn? How do the ways that humans learn affect you and those you teach and lead? This course will integrate theories from neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, and other disciplines into a framework for the principles of learning, then show you how to apply the framework for the principles of learning. By applying the framework for the principles of learning in your areas of influence, you can maximize learning for everyone you teach and lead.
