Vanessa Bailey
Vanessa Bailey is a dedicated early childhood educator and mentor with more than 20 years of experience supporting young children, families, and educators. She holds a BA and MA in Early Childhood Education from Fresno Pacific University and Brandman University, respectively. Her professional experience includes private and state preschools, Head Start, special education, behavior consultation, private contracting, and reflective practice mentoring and coaching. A certified CSEFEL Trainer, TPOT Observer, and CLASS Observer, Vanessa is passionate about trauma-informed and reflective practices that strengthen early learning environments. Her extensive personal experience as a mother of five children, including two adopted and three biological children, and as a foster parent to more than 50 children has deeply shaped her understanding of children and families. Vanessa is committed to preparing future educators with confidence, compassion, and practical skills, inspiring them to become passionate and devoted professionals in the field of early childhood education.

Literacy Learning for Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers
This course will introduce you to eight key practices to apply in supporting young children's early literacy development: knowing, showing, designing, including, engaging, observing and responding. Intentional focus on the following areas is incorporated: language and knowledge, print concepts, sounds and letters, writing, text comprehension.
