TEACHING LISTENER BEHAVIOR TO CHILDREN WITH DD - BEHP1199 Describes and provides examples of listener skills (responding appropriately to another's verbal behavior). Includes following auditory directions and selecting an item from an array after hearing its name. Emphasizes teaching listener skills as a critical component of early intensive behavioral intervention for young children with developmental disabilities. Also emphasizes the importance of therapists understanding the stimulus control that should result from simple and conditional discrimination training when designing effective listener training programs.
