Special Instructions

This training program is based on the Registered Behavior Technician Task List and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT® credential. This program is offered independent of the BACB®. Please note: Although the RBT Essentials course is designed to be a 40-hour training, because it is competency-based, some student will require more than 40 clock hours to complete the course. The minimum time required to complete the training is 40 hours. The BACB requires that the training be completed within 180 days; the board has also set a five-day minimum for completion of the coursework. They will not accept the coursework if it is completed in fewer than five days or more than 180 days.

Date of Birth

A valid birth date is required for students' official university record. Failure to provide the correct birth date in the month/day/year format will lead to additional paperwork that the student will need to submit, delays in accessing the course and delays when requesting certificates or transcripts. Please be sure to use the month/day/year format to avoid delays in activating your account.

Student Account Information (TRACKS)

If you are a returning Florida Tech student, it can take up to one business day (Monday through Friday, excluding university holidays) to receive access to the course.

If you are a new Florida Tech student, it can take up to two business days (Monday through Friday, excluding university holidays) to receive your course log-in information (TRACKS account) and then up to an additional business day to receive access to the course.

Please note: Students must begin the course within 30 days of registration; this includes submission of the 180-day acknowledgment in Module 1 of the course. Students who fail to submit the 180-day acknowledgment within 30 days of registration will have their course access deactivated and will have to register and pay for the course again when they are ready to complete it.

Group or Company Registrations

The RBT Rewards program requires 10 or more registrations to unlock a special discounted rate and other benefits. With prior arrangement and a 10-student minimum, company-specific documents, instructions and dates can be incorporated within the course and, assuming all proper releases are provided (i.e., FERPA form), a company administrator or supervisor can be given direct access to the course and grade book to track employees in real time. If you are seeking to register using the group/company discount, please DO NOT register online. Please contact the Office of Continuing Education at (321) 674-8382, option 2, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST/EDT or email abareg@fit.edu.
