IMPORTANCE OF REINFORCEMENT - BEHP1012 Covers discriminating between motivating operations (MOs) and discriminative stimuli, a critical skill that can make the difference between designing effective or ineffective interventions. Provides explicit instruction on the topic by using everyday examples and other heuristic techniques. Emphasizes the difference between MOs related to reinforcement and MOs related to punishment, and between unconditioned MOs and the various types of conditioned MOs.
