Overview

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's (ERAU) Value Proposition Analysis for Aviation is designed for current or prospective corporate flight department employees who will make strategic decisions and who will manage interactions with passengers, customers and their parent company. Course content explores the methods used in conducting a travel analysis, evaluating options for lift, justifying the flight department value, proposing various travel options and optimizing the fit of the flight department with corporate goals. This course is part of Embry-Riddle's Corporate Aviation Management Certificate (CAMC) program.

This course awards 1.6 CEUs upon completion.

Upon completing the course, students should be able to demonstrate a comprehensive and broad-based understanding of:

  • Application of various communication techniques and tools to convey message of value to a broad audience
  • Facilitation of ongoing discussion regarding key issues
  • Concepts of marketing a corporate aviation product, including price, place, cost productivity, value added and time management
  • Economic and financial issues concerning business aviation
  • Methods for corporate travel analysis
  • Options for lift (e.g., time share, interchange, part 91.501, charter, airline, & fractional)
  • Opportunities to educate potential users on benefits of company aircraft and justifying company and department decisions

Course Information

This is an online asynchronous instructor facilitated course with weekly modules and assignments, but no scheduled meeting times. Students should plan to spend approximately 10-15 hours per week working through the course. Coursework is web-based with no additional software required, although a reliable internet connection is recommended. All courses open 48 business hours in advance of each start date, and must be completed by their scheduled end dates. Digital certificates are available upon successful completion of individual courses. Printed certificates are mailed only upon completion of a full certificate program.
