Course Detail: CE-2121 - Strategic Vision and Planning in association with NBAA [CE 2121]
Overview
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's (ERAU) Strategic Vision and Planning is designed for corporate flight department personnel and management who will be involved in or desire to know more about the corporate strategic planning process. Course content explores goal setting, value statements, mission statements, vision statements, strategic planning and business planning in a practical manner focused on developing and communicating effective planning processes. This course is part of Embry-Riddle's Corporate Aviation Management Certificate (CAMC) program.
This course awards 1.4 Continuing Education Units upon completion. (CEU)

- Aviation department vision, mission, and values statement within the concept of a company business plan that is understood by all department personnel
- Techniques to communicate the vision statement to the aviation department personnel as well as officers and managers outside the department
- Relationship between members, the aviation department, and those external to the aviation department, up to the most senior company officer
- Strategies for writing goals
- Components of goals statements
- Industry standards and trends
- Corporate business plan, goals, and objectives
- Methods to optimize overall aviation department asset utilization and efficiency
Course Information
This is an online asynchronous instructor facilitated course with weekly modules and assignments, but no scheduled meeting times. Students should plan to spend approximately 10-15 hours per week working through the course. Coursework is web-based with no additional software required, although a reliable internet connection is recommended. All courses open 48 business hours in advance of each start date, and must be completed by their scheduled end dates. Digital certificates are available upon successful completion of individual courses. Printed certificates are mailed only upon completion of a full certificate program.
