Biography:

Dr. Scott Martin is a professor in the Aerospace Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. He received a BS and MS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Washington. He did a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Center for Turbulence Research at Stanford University. His specialties are Combustion Science and Airworthiness Engineering.

Dr. Martin has been involved in airworthiness engineering for nearly ten years developing Supplemental Type Certificate packages and performing flight testing. He helped develop and taught the Airworthiness Certificate program in the ERAU College of Engineering and the MS in Airworthiness Engineering program in the Worldwide Campus. Dr. Martin has developed and taught airworthiness engineering courses for the FAA and aviation industry. Dr. Martin is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor for single engine airplanes and instruments.
