Instructor: Burak Cankaya

Biography: Dr. Burak Cankaya has a doctoral degree from Lamar University in Industrial Engineering, he has an M.S. degree from the University of Houston in Technology Project Management and a B.S. degree from Karadeniz Technical University in Mechanical Engineering. Before joining ERAU as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Cankaya was a Sr. Operations Research Analyst at NetJets, which is an industry-leading Berkshire Hathaway-owned Private Jet company.

Dr. Cankaya has previous industry and research experience in the transportation industry and the oil and gas industry. His passions are analytics, operations research, and data science. He believes that conducting research in these fields and teaching the tech skills to lead the 4th industrial revolution is the best contribution he can provide to society.
