Biography: Dr. Daniel Vogel is an experienced training captain and human factors expert working on the doctrine of leading by example with imperative commitment to flight safety and operational standards. He is also the Chairman of a local Air Safety Group and the former representative of Runway Safety Team Stuttgart. Dr. Vogel has strong CRM, communication, and leadership skills with operational experience in Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. At Southwest Airlines' headquarters, he gathered international training management experience as Project Pilot. Dr. Vogel is an LBA-approved Theoretical Knowledge Instructor for topics such as flight operations and human performance. He has over 12.000 flying hours under his belt; for 8.000 of those he was in command. Dr. Vogel has trained and supervised more than 200 pilots, both in the simulator and in the aircraft and is himself trained to command A320, B737, and Falcon 2000 Ex. In his academic research, Dr. Vogel focuses on human factors and safety systems.Dr. Vogel received his Master of Science in Aeronautical Science and his MBA in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His Ph.D. in Air Transport and Safety Management stems from City, University of London.
