Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's English for Air Traffic Control: In-Flight Fire Emergencies is a self-paced, online course designed to improve air traffic controllers' English language proficiency. You will spend 12-15 hours practicing your English language skills and learning about information that is important to the job of an air traffic controller.
The course adheres to ICAO Circular 323 - Guidelines for Aviation English Training Programmes and ICAO Document 9835 - Manual on the Implementation of ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements.

Who Should Attend?
This course is recommended for those with intermediate English language skills (ICAO Pre-Operational Level 3) who are current or future air traffic controllers or other aviation professionals interested in air traffic control or in-flight fire emergencies.
This course is online, self-paced, and asynchronous. There are no scheduled meeting times with an instructor. Coursework is web-based with no additional software required. A reliable internet connection is recommended.
You will have access to the course for 3 months so that you can complete the activities at your own pace. You can complete the activities as many times as you want to keep practicing your English skills.
