No image available Biography: Rabbi Harley Karz-Wagman serves as the new spiritual leader of Congregation Bayt Shalom in Greenville, NC. He recently moved from the Jewish Temple in Alexandria, Louisiana, where he participated in Rotary, United Way, the Family Justice Center (Domestic Violence Coalition), the Ministers Association, and co-chaired the Alexandria Holocaust Education Committee.He previously served congregations in Wyoming, North Carolina, Washington, and Arkansas, and directed Hillels (serving Jews on college campuses) at Tulane, Arizona, and Colorado. Before seminary studies, he practiced law in Los Angeles, with a B.A. and J.D. from UCLA, rooting their team to six national basketball championships in seven years. Rabbi Karz-Wagman has founded: Holocaust Education Committees; groups to celebrate diversity and fight prejudice; and Israel advocacy groups. He served as an activist about domestic violence; interfaith education; and United Way.
