![]() Intraoral Radiography - Online Module (Part 1 of 2)This course is designed for the office trained dental assistant needing dental radiography certification and has been approved by the North Carolina State Dental Board Examiners (NCSDBE) pursuant to G.S. 90-29(c) (12).The Intraoral Radiography Certificate Course consists of two components; Part 1 is an online self-study designed to teach the fundamentals of x-ray production, safety and protection. Part 2 is a hands-on clinical component designed to teach receptor placement and exposure techniques needed for successful dental imaging. Both Part 1 and Part 2 must be successfully completed prior to receiving certification in Dental Radiography. |

Intraoral Radiography - Face to Face Training (Part 2)

The Intraoral Radiography Certificate Course consists of two components; Part 1 is an online self-study designed to teach the fundamentals of x-ray production, safety and protection. Part 2 is a hands-on clinical component designed to teach receptor placement and exposure techniques needed for successful dental imaging. Both Part 1 and Part 2 must be successfully completed prior to receiving certification in Dental Radiography. Part 2 clinical sessions will not be offered in June and July of 2021. It will be fall before it will be offered again.

Certificate Programs
CTE New Teacher Induction Program
Provisionally licensed teachers must take five modules to satisfy the licensure requirement for the CTE New Teacher Induction Program. It is a partnership between East Carolina University and NC Department of Public Instruction Career and Technical Education.
Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist
Individuals completing this program will receive the required clinical supervision hours needed to complete Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) process, prepare for successful completion of the IC&RC computerized exam and will be provided with the continual support needed to have a successful career as a substance abuse practitioner. All Supervisors bring a wealth of practical experience in providing substance abuse service to a variety of populations and are credentialed with the NCSAPPB as qualified clinical supervision providers.
North Carolina Certified Economic Developer (NCCED) Program
Offered in partnership with the North Carolina Economic Development Association, the certification program provides practical knowledge concerning the practice of economic development in North Carolina to economic development personnel, elected officials, business leaders and others interested in the field.Certification Requirements:Participants who wish to earn the certification must complete seven (7) courses and a capstone project for a total of 84 contact hours. While successfully completing the course of study will lead to the North Carolina Certified Economic Developer designation, courses may be taken as desired without formal matriculation in the certification program.
